We are moving into our third week together and I am please with your progress. However, there is something that I want to discuss with you. . .our comments at the end of each entry. My goal in using the comments is to build community and allow us to get to know each other in an informal manner. When you respond to prompts in writing, all you have to represent yourself are your words. . .No one can see your face to see if you are kidding, angry, etc., so it becomes very important that you represent your best self in your comments. I'm not necessarily talking about grammar, as the blog is informal, but I do mean the comments that are off topic, mean-spirited, or simply inappropriate for our forum. This is our chance to grow as a group and have fun at the same time. . .Please go back and review your past comments to see if you might want to revise them ;-)
This week: we will discuss how to evaluate our video game and do the research on the issue underlying the game. For example, if you are reviewing the game, Darfur is Dying, it clearly about the genocide that is currently taking place in Africa. We can look to the information in the game for the issue, or discuss with our peers what we think is going on. I also hope to get everyone a del.icio.us account to save the websites you find in your research!
This Week's Question: What is the best book that you have ever read and why? If you can't think of a book, you could choose your favorite poem or meaningful song (as it is a form of poetry).
For me, my favorite book would have to be Catcher in the Rye by J.D. Salinger. The main character, Holden Caulfield, represented the difficulties of being a teenager in such a real way that I find myself relating to him even as an adult. . .It is also the best book I have ever read with a class!!

MY FAVORITE POEM IS:
I Can See The Pain
by Nikki
I still see your face in my dreams
It hurts and it doesn't help at all
I still want you in my life as crazy as that seems
I want you to catch me when I fall
I still remember the first time we met
There was something so different about you
Your friendship was something I wanted to get
That smile when you said hi to me was so new
Out of no where you called me on the phone
I wanted to sit there and talk to you forever
You were so new, so crazy and unknown
I just knew that our friendship would never sever
Two years and we are barely holding it together
What happened to the way this all used to be
I never wanted you out of my like ever
I sat there for a long time pretending not to see
We decided to go out and make it all all right
It didn't work out of course we knew it couldn't
We couldn't even really stand each others sight
It shouldn't end this way but it did and I shouldn't
I miss you and everything you were to me
Ten years from now we will look back on it all
We will be older and finally be able to see
That love will stand the test of time and never fall

i am reading the golden compass
what is my favorite book? i would have to say it would be Eldest by Christopher Paolini. he is the author of the Inheritance series. what is really amazing about hin is that he wrote the first book of the series and his first book at the age of fifteen.
The Hobbit/Lord of the Rings trilogy (I know, I know it's not one book). I've re-read these books on average every 8 years since 1965. They hold all the concepts that I find important in life: honor, faith, love, truth, dedication, personal responsibility, duty, humor. I'm certain that I've overlooked something but you get the gist.
that's such a question but i just finished this excellent novel by Jaclyn Moriarty titled, The Spell book of Listen Taylor. In the end it turns out there is no fantasy magic but the book does talk about deceith and affairs even high school! The language is so vivid, and has a one of a kind quirkiness to the book, I recommend this book to everybody!
all right something is the stuff yeahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh man
my favorite book is the twilight series and use to like maximum ride but that was a long time ago i think.
